Artist Statement
My work expresses fantasy landscapes mixing anxiety with elements of the fantastic in magical moments. These imaginative worlds draw in the viewer in search for a higher spiritual ground. The work expresses the dystopian realities of our polluted oceans like oil spills. Other dystopian worlds need to produce their own plant life where universes no longer are able to maintain a sustained eco system. Carbon dioxide and oxygen become a manufactured element in these floating realms in order to produce cellular plant life. World power, greed and economic gains play into these suspended environments. Power and isolation merge with the magic of hovering over oceans and mountains with path ways into a new world. One stands alone and reaches towards a higher plane beyond the horizon. The work speaks of moments of both angst and hope.

About the Work
My work expresses fantasy landscapes mixing anxiety with elements of the fantastic in magical moments. These imaginative worlds draw in the viewer in search for a higher spiritual ground. The work expresses the dystopian realities of our polluted oceans like oil spills where one wonders if there is any turning back. World power, greed and economic gains play into this suspended environment that floats over sea. The experience of being submerged, over powered and isolated merge with the magic of hovering over oceans and sky with pathways into a new world.
The viewer faces moments of oneness and magic with the realities of isolation and loss simultaneously. One stands alone and reaches towards a higher plane beyond the horizon. This work speaks of the equanimity of mind in ones everyday life that is mixed with both stressful moments and moments of beauty and hope.
